Absurd Beauties::Performed by Splash Flying Dance & Theatre Company
A moving installation on stilts, wheels and feet.
Grandiose characters, Talluna and Lushina, swan and swirl their way around Aotea Square in hooped regalia and giant wigs. Tranced, proud and whirling like Sufis, they dance both their 'abundant' personalities and the quiet call of the soul.

Flying Tales:
an ecological story told in flying dance, theatre and music.
A ten foot earth-sky angel leads you among the majestic trees of the Auckland Domain as colourfully costumed performers with and without disabilities fly from the trees suspended by harnesses. Characters range from a meditative deep sea fish, to a brave young hawk, to the beautiful Mother Earth herself.

Flying Tales:
Director Shanti Sherson and Choreographer Linda Parker have worked together to create a story that celebrates the ecological diversity of Planet Earth and reminds us we too are part of the global ecosystem and need to love and respect the earth.
